At Abilitive, we champion your rights under the NDIS, ensuring choice, dignity, and safety in all our support services. Your voice is paramount.

Your Rights

  • Choice and Control: You have the right to choose your providers, decide what supports you receive, and control how your funding is spent.
  • Dignity and Respect: You will be treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy at all times. Your beliefs, culture, and preferences matter.
  • Privacy and Confidentiality: Your personal information is kept private and secure, and is only shared with your consent or if required by law.
  • Safety: You have the right to be safe and free from violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation, and discrimination.
  • Decision-Making: You make the decisions about your goals, supports, and life. You can have help from family or advocates when needed.
  • Advocacy: You can have an independent advocate support you or speak on your behalf.
  • Feedback: You can give feedback, suggestions, or make complaints without fear. We listen, respond, and use feedback to improve our services.
  • Clear Information: You have the right to clear, accessible information about the services you receive and your rights.
  • Access to Services: Services are provided fairly, regardless of your background, gender, disability, or beliefs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Treat support workers and staff with respect and courtesy.
  • Communicate your needs and any changes in your situation.
  • Provide a safe environment for support delivery.
  • Pay for services according to your agreement (if self-managing).
  • Read and follow your service agreement; ask if you have questions.
  • Let us know if something isn’t working for you.
